We spend most of our lives in our unconscious minds…As you probably already know, current research states that we spend 95% of our time in the subconscious mind. That’s 95% of all of our lives lived on autopilot. We think we are in control, right? We think we make decisions independently, openly and freely. This is not the case. The unconscious mind stores our lived experiences as patterns, whether positive or negative, and uses these patterns to strongly influence every decision we make. Instantly. We don’t even know it’s happening. And this isn’t woo-woo. This is scientific fact.
Why do I crave sweet things, for example?
So, say you fall and cut your knee when you’re 5 years old. Mum gives you a lollipop to distract you from the pain. The unconscious brain stores this as a pattern: ‘Pain is made better by sweet things’. It gets reinforced and generalised every time we repeat the pattern – becoming so widely associated that whenever we feel discomfort of any kind, whenever we are sad, lonely, distressed, even as adults, we automatically reach for the cookies, or the ice-cream. We crave these things because our unconscious mind is telling us they will make us feel better. Denying ourselves these things on a fad diet or New Year’s resolution just reinforces the unconscious mind’s conviction that we NEED these things to feel better, and that we are suffering because we aren’t having them, so the cravings get stronger, and stronger, and ultimately we have a binge, or simply give the diet up, eating lots and lots of the sweet stuff until the unconscious relaxes and switches off the cravings, until the next time.
See? There’s not much point addressing these issues in the conscious mind, when the programming is all going on in the back office of the unconscious.

WHAT IS SOLUTION FOCUSED HYPNOTHERAPY?
It’s an accessible and powerful mix of talking therapy (where we identify your goals and best hopes for your life) with relaxing, healing and powerfully therapeutic trance, or hypnosis.
But what’s hypnosis?
Trance or hypnosis is :
